GREETINGS FROM COLD OHIO, USA: I have been researching an offshoot of the Sir Robert Barrie family by the surname of BOODLE. I understand that REV. THOMAS BOODLE was involved at Christ Church in Virginia Water in 1839, and that he died at the Christ Church Vicarage on 2 Apr 1883. Is there anyone who has researched Rev. Thomas Boodle? Is there a churchyard by the church in which he and his family are buried? I was in "Ashdene" a children's home in Englefield-Green Surrey from 1946-1954. I know that several other old girls who were in there at about the same time, came from here and the surronding area. I would like to hear from them if the remember me . the Magee sisters,Christine Leighton,Pat Perry Jacqueline Smith to name just a few. My sister Virginia was also there with me. |

My family and I have lived in Virginia Water now for 2 1/2 years. We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. We will be returning to our home in Chicago in two weeks and will miss Virginia Water. We will plan to return to visit many friends. |

Searching for any information on my mother and grandmother in Virginia Water area from 1935 onwards. Grandma was or is Bessie Ada(or Rose)Williams. My mum was Josephine Roller Williams. My mum said she grew up there so this is just a shot un the dark! |

Very god site, though would be better for local people if more ads were up. I myself came on here today hoping to find some personal ads regarding AS Maths tutoring as i feel i could benefit from it. Now if i walk down to londis or martins, im sure i will find ads which will help me. If these could be incorporated onto the site, it would be much better. Otherwise it is very well designed, and promotes Virginia Water very well. |
